HISTORY OF EOLIS 
In the Begining...
The sea had been present in our lives since always. The Windsurf and the sail happened naturally... After the option of studying away from Tavira
we came back and in 2004 the idea of professionally go for water/wind sports was born.
First: Do a Kitesurf course in Tarifa.
Second: One name and establishment of goals: short and long term... EOLIS was the chosen name.

YEAR 2005
The opening of "paths" and "roads", all of them new to us. We get the chance to use a shop in Cabanas de Tavira. We start our work as Kite and Wind Instructors, in Cabanas' Island and in Ria Formosa. He success shows us ways to go... nonetheless, the seasonality brings us difficult moments... To make it easy on us, we start to grow the idea of organizing events, starting: Ist International Kite Festival of Tavira.
YEAR 2006
The Ist International Kite Festival of Tavira takes place in Cabanas' Island beach in March 2006 and it only adds more growth to EOLIS as a School and as a Shop.
In July, in partnership with the Club Kitesurfing Isla Cristina, we organized the 3rd Travessia Internacional Costa de La Luz - Algarve.
During the summer, we worked with groups of youngsters in partnership with several entities, growing the taste and joy of flying kites. A great summer all the way...

YEAR 2007
A big challenge opening the year: The importation and distribution of a great brand to portugal: Ozone.... OK!!!
In March, we organize the II Kite Festival. It happens in Barril's beach in Tavira. Now the Festival gets bigger, we call it Kite Festival of East Algarve (II FISA).
The school goes on growing, the shop goes on happening, we need something else: IKO instructor specific course for kitesurf teaching - It happens in May 2007.
The summer was again very happy and supporting... we were going on the right path!
YEAR 2008
With the III FISA, happens its affirmation in the National Kite Flying Festivals' agenda. The success and the well being that the fact that we're happy and fulfilled in Eolis, feeds our will to get to the next goal: a 300m Kitebeach in Cabanas Island, to the East of the bathing areas.
Starting already in 2009.
IKO Certification as IKO CENTER n*871.
We are invited and accept to in Portugal, the polish brand of Kiteboards: SU-2
YEAR 2009
A goal already pursuited for 3 years has come to reality: a 300m Kitebeach in Cabanas Island, to the East of the bathing areas. It's an area recommended for Kitesurfing, with all the safety issues taken care of: life-guards, rescue boat, cottage, IKO certified instructors for teaching and in First Aid and RCP.
We acquired a new boat to better serve our clients.
We started to distribute the kiteboards UNDERGROUND.
To contribute to a better quality in the teaching of Kitesurf, we did 3 IKO courses in 2009: 1 IKO Assistant Instructor Course and 2 IKO Instructor Course (ITC).
YEAR 2010
With the Kitebeach in service since June, we assure all our clients, a Top Service.
We already did in March 1 IKO Instructor Course (ITC) and 1 IKO Assistant Instructor Course. We'll have another assistant course in July and another ITC from 13 to 17 October.
Reorganization of our website, updating it to a nicer design.
The Eolis Team (E-TEAM) is now a fantastic group of 5 people: Sabine Schilder, dealing with Marketing issues; Micha Van Paare, IKO level 1 Instructor nº 8123; Thomas Powell, IKO level 2 Instructor nº 6175 ; João Alexandre, IKO level 1 Instructor nº 8294; and, Sandra Santos, Head Instructor IKO Level 2 Senior nº 4092 and Manager of Eolis.
YEAR 2011
The Kitebeach is 100% already in March to offer the perfect conditions to the ITC held at that time.
New investments: Stand Up Paddle boards and a Buggy. We added some more brands: Wainman Hawaii kites, Crazyfly kiteboards and Red Paddle Inflatable SUP boards.
YEAR 2012
Eolis aims to overcome some logistics issues related with the Kitebeach functioning making it possible to offer a wider range of services and conditions to our guests already from March 2012.
